Our apprenticeship program is designed to give a comprehensive overview of the regional food system in New England and focuses on how gleaning can take existing resources that are underutilized in the current food system to create positive change and innovative food distribution models. This apprenticeship is a great introduction to our field of food rescue and local food system development and can be applicable to many other related fields. This apprenticeship is structured similar to a farm apprenticeship in that it is very hands-on in nature.
